1. Tonight will be my first night at the gym. I probably won't be able to move tomorrow. But I was behinD some skinny chick walking into work this morning and that just reminded me how bad I really need to go.
2. Chase was having a "mommy morning" this morning and would not leave my side. He followed me everywhere I went, and when I went to the bathroom he was sitting on my lap. What's a mom to do?! He also did not want me to leave day care. He took crawling after me at high speed and grabbed onto my leg.
3. We had a great weekend! Chase and I spent lots of time in the pool.
4. I really wanted to wash my car on Sunday and get some sun, so I did. Only for Kyle to take it to the car wash when I got done and then he spent 2 1/2 hours waxing it. He said I was ruining it. I guess I let the soap bake into it, I wasn't rinsing it off fast enough. Well, considering the car is MUCH taller than me, it takes me a while to get every spot. I was told I'm not allowed to wash it anymore. :)
5. Chase is sooooo close to walking! There is a little girl at his day care that was crawling before him, she was 5 months when she started doing this. And now the little stinker is 8 1/2 months old and is already walking! Show off.
6. Tomorrow is Wednesday, but it will be my Friday. I'm off Thursday and Friday and I cannot wait! Thursday will be a day of cleaning. I need to clean so bad! I'm surprised Chase hasn't got lost in the mess. Kyle handled the dishwasher for me last night. I don't know what it is, but there is nothing I hate more than loading and unloading the dishwasher. I think it's because by the time I'm done cooking dinner, I never want to see those dishes again.
7. Kyle has been working some long hours at the new job. Yesterday he got up at 3:45, started working at 5:00 am and didn't get off until 5:00 pm. We are really looking forward to this paycheck!
8. Chase has started practicing brushing his own teeth. He loves it. He wants to brush his teeth, he wants to brush mine and Kyle's teeth, and he wants to brush his teeth with our toothbrushes. He actually got upset this morning when I was brushing my teeth because I wouldn't put it in his mouth. Sorry Chase, but there are just some things I cannot share.
9. My niece Taylor got back from Church camp on Friday and she wasn't feeling real well. On Saturday she still wasn't feeling well, and Saturday afternoon my sister-in-law got a call from the camp to let her know that there have been some confirmed cases of Swine Flu at the camp. So she was rushed to the emergency room and they tested her, but thank God the test came back negative. But she did get pink eye. Poor Taylor!
10. We are getting ready to paint Chase's playroom and decorate it, we just need to decide on a them. I want Mickey Mouse, Kyle wants a duck hunting theme. How about a Mickey Mouse Duck Hunter??

Water Play
When I went to pick Chase up from day care yesterday, he was outside having water play. Here are some of the pictures I took. Notice in the last picture how unhappy he is. He was not fond of the idea of leaving the water and getting in the car. It was 100 degrees we went, so naked he went on the way home!

Puzzle Time
Chase got lots of puzzles for his birthday, which he loves! He hasn't quite figured them all the way out yet, but he has found some creative uses for the puzzle pieces.
10 on Tuesday
1. Kyle quit Questec and went back to JCI doing concrete construction. The hours are going to suck (he had to get up at 3:45 this morning) but the money was just too tempting and he couldn't resist not going back.
2. He couldn't have picked a worse week to go back to working outside doing construction. Heat index of 110. He is probably going to just fall out when he gets home tonight.
3. I think Chase might be getting sick. He was fine when I picked him up from day care (he was actually being super cute and funny), but when we got to Walmart he had a major meltdown in the store which is not like him. He has NEVER thrown a fit in the store. So I knew something was up then. When we got home he wouldn't eat any of his dinner, not even his fruit. Again, another red flag. All he would do was drink milk so I gave him a second cup of it, and then out of no where he started screaming and crying big crocodile tears. He felt hot so I took his temp and he had a fever. So I put him in his jammies and he fell asleep on my lap while I watched the Bachelorette. I checked him a few times during the night and he still had a fever, but it was gone when he got up so I went ahead and took him to day care. When I got to day care, she said that another little baby stayed home today with a fever. Oh great......
4. Anybody watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 last night? Such a sad episode. I can't imagine going through what they are going through. They have decided to get a divorce, and Kate was obviously torn up about it. Jon on the other hand, said he was excited. Moron.
5. I am joining Wilson's this week. Time to get my fat butt to the gym and do something about it! I mean seriously, I had a baby 13 months ago. Enough is enough already! :)
6. We had a great Father's Day! I made sticky buns for breakfast, then Chase gave Kyle his card he made and his Dog Tags. Kyle has always wanted dog tags, so I had one made for him and then a smaller one made for Chase. They are on a chain so Kyle can wear both of them. Then we went to my mom and dad's and had some AMAZING bbq chicken and all the trimmings! Then we had cake and ice cream for my brother's birthday. After that we went to Kyle's mom and dad's house for Ribs. Do you see why I'm going to the gym now???
7. My tea tastes like band-aids this morning.
8. I told Kyle I want a Coach purse for my birthday. He thinks it's stupid. I see no difference in buying a coach purse and buying a hunting accessory. :)
9. I cannot wait for next week!! I'm off Thursday and Friday, and then on Saturday we are going to Kyle's Uncle's house somewhere near Kansas City to enjoy a day laying in the pool and playing in the lake! And then they always have a big fireworks show.

Happy Birthday Chase! Growing up my mom always put a candle in our breakfast on our birthday and decorated our chair at the table, so I am passing the traditions on to Chase.
