10 on Tuesday

1. I am so ready for Thanksgiving! And....SHOPPING ON FRIDAY!! I took my Christmas money out of my account at work this morning and am heading to our regular bank at work. I want to make sure that money is in there and ready to go! :)

2. I have been battling this sinus crap for a week now and I am hoping it gets better by Thanksgiving. I've had a non-stop headache for like 3 weeks now.

3. We took Chase to the Holiday Parade downtown on Sunday and it was so much fun. I was wondering how he would do at his first parade, but he did wonderful! He quickly caught on that he needed to wave at the floats and the people that went by, and that they would give him candy. I can't believe how much candy he got!! I never got that much growing up! We filled his entire bag. Not only did people in the parade give him handfuls at a time, but the people standing next to us kept collecting candy for him too. He was so good about picking up his candy and putting it in his bag. Except for the suckers, he didn't want to give those up. I seriously lost track of how many suckers he ate while we were there. He was a sticky mess and then he crashed in the car!

4. Chase went nuts over the firetrucks, police cars, ambulance, and the little shriner cars in the parade. He just lit up like a Christmas tree. He gets so excited and just yells and points.

5. I rented a movie for Chase last night called "Big Machines" and he loves it! He grabbed his monkey, paci, and blankie and sat right in front of the TV and just stared. Every now and then he would run into the kitchen and want me to come look at something on the TV. I laid down on the floor hoping to snuggle with him while he watched it, but he didn't even want me to touch him! I guess I was interrupting him!

6. I took Chase to the doctor yesterday for his 18 month check up and I'm pretty sure he is still mad about it. Dr. Harris says that Chase is very healthy and is deveolpment is right on track. He did the 1 1/2 year Autism screening and Chase passed. He weighs 27 lbs, 3 oz ( 75th percentile) and is 31.4 inches long ( 95th percentile). He is a very tall boy!! Chase cried so hard that he popped blood vessels in his face. I cried too because I hated having to hold him down. The last time he cried that hard was when he took him to the Dr. with the Swine Flu. He fell fast asleep as soon as we got in the car. I felt so bad for him. The shots just sent him over the edge. He cried so hard he was shaking.

7. The plan is to go cold turkey with Chase's paci starting Monday. We'll see how this goes......I'm a little nervous. Ok, I lied. I am extremely nervous and feel very uneasy about it!!

8. My mom's birthday was yesterday, Happy Birthday Mom! We celebrated Sunday night by having a Mexican dinner and cake and ice cream. We were so stuffed when we left. Except for Chase, he didn't eat anything but tomatoes. I told Dr. Harris that Chase hasn't been eating, but he said it's normal for this age and to just start giving him Flintstones vitamins. So, I bought My First Flintstones last night and Chase thinks they are candy. He just couldn't understand why he couldn't have more.

9. Kyle and I took Chase to the mall the other night and out of no where we hear this little voice say "Shut up." Oops..... We really need to watch what we are saying!

10. Saturday night I was sitting on the floor and Chase comes up behind me and starts hitting me with a plastic toy baseball bat. With every hit (not hard ones) he just laughed harder and harder. Kyle and I had to cover our faces because we were laughing so hard. Everytime we tried to tell him no, we laughed harder. Eventually Kyle was able to control himself to tell him no. But it was so darn funny!!

11. Extra for today! Chase peed and pooped in the potty! Good boy Chase!! :)

Chase turns 18 months old today! I can't believe he is 1 1/2 now. He peed in the potty again last night. I am so proud of him!

Potty Time!

Chase peed in the potty last night!! I was so proud of him. We got the potty seat over the weekend and used it for the first time last night. I sat him down on it after dinner and he just sat there singing, and next thing I knew it was playing music. It plays music when pee or poop lands in the potty. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. He was quite fascinated with what ended up in the potty and was excited about helping me flush it down the toilet. I got some really cute pictures of him singing on the potty, so I will post those as soon as I get them downloaded.

10 on Tuesday

1. I am so excited that Thanksgiving is next week! I'm excited about the food and then the shopping!!

2. We went out to dinner Saturday night to Chevy's and after dinner we took Chase to Toys R Us so we could get some Christmas ideas for him. He was so cute in there! I was looking at the puzzles (several aisles away) while Kyle and Chase were looking at the trains. All of a sudden I hear this little boy yelling at the top of his lungs "Mama! Mommy! Mom!" ( I guess using using all 3 varieties of the mom title guarantees a reply??) I recognize that voice anywhere. I poked my head out of the aisle and hear comes Chase running with a train in each hand. He was so excited about showing me the trains he found. So...we are planning on getting him a train table for Christmas. Toys R Us is having a Black Friday deal where you buy the train table and get a train set for free. But....they open at Midnight. YIKES!

3. When we got home Saturday night I got out the Toys R Us Big Book and the Target toy book and made a Christmas list for Chase. The list ended up filling up one side of a piece of notebook paper. He's just at that fun stage now where he can play with all of the fun stuff!

4. I got Chase an outfit for our family pictures (well, actually two outfits because I couldn't decide which one I liked best) that we are having taken in a couple of weeks. My dad is going to take our Christmas picture like he always does, but then I also want to have a professional family picture taken. The last professional family photo we had taken was when we took Chase to have his newborn pictures done.

5. Chase will be 18 months old on Thursday. It is so hard to believe!

6. I put Chase to bed at 7:00 last night (instead of the usual 7:30) because I was starving and really wanted to eat dinner. Kyle had a basketball game, so it was just me and Chase. I knew that if he saw me eating the pizza, he would want some too. So I decided to lay him down a little early so I could go ahead and eat while it was still warm. Well, I felt extremely guilty when I got done eating so I went and took him out of his crib so I could snuggle and rock with him. He was still awake when I got him up, and was very happy to snuggle with me. I know, I'm crazy!

7. My mom's birthday is next Monday, so we are celebrating her birthday on Sunday and having Mexican food to eat. Also on Sunday is the Holiday Parade downtown. I'm excited to take Chase! Hopefully the weather cooperates.

8. Kyle had his first two basketball games last night, I think they could have gone better, but he is still a rookie. His first games were supposed to be last week but he couldn't get off work. His next two games are Thursday night. He said Chase and I aren't allowed to come to the games yet, he said he isn't ready for any distractions.

9. I have a plan to get Chase's new room done and also redo our room. I want to give it a total makeover. So hopefully it will keep raining so Kyle can stay home and get it all done for me :)

10. Chase made an Indian headband at daycare yesterday and would not take it off last night. He even wore it while he ate dinner. There is also a video in a post below of him doing his own Indian impersonation.

1. Is it Friday yet??? I am in a funk this week and am so ready for Friday.

2. Kyle has his first two basketball games Thursday night. He says he's not nervous, but I bet he is!

3. Chase tried Riley's dog food for the first time on Sunday. He spit it right back out. He also tried drinking from her water bowl too. I'm trying to teach him that he is not a dog!

4. The weather was so beautiful over the weekend. Chase spent a lot of time playing outside. On Sunday, him and his cousin Trevor played in the leaves and took rides in Papa's trailer hooked to the back of the mower.

5. Thanksgiving is only two weeks away!! I cannot wait for the good food and the SHOPPING!!

6. I have a list going of what to get Chase for Christmas, but I have no idea what to get anybody else.

7. I got my Christmas present from work last week. I chose movie tickets, so I have 4 movie passes to use. Kyle and I will need to plan a date now. There are several movies I want to see.

8. I'm going to go see Mama Mia at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis in January, and I have chosen to leave Chase at home with Kyle. As much as he would love it, I have a feeling I would be spending my two hours there chasing him around and fighting with him. The stairs would be too hard to resist for him!

9. Like I said, I'm in a funk this week. So my 10 on Tuesday is pretty boring. Maybe this picture will cheer me up:

First Haircut

10 on Tuesday

1. Happy November! I can't believe it's November. Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks from Thursday!! I can't wait. I am so hungry....

2. Halloween was so much fun. Our little Monkey dressed up as a monkey. Couldn't have been more perfect for him. He has a little monkey that he takes EVERYWHERE with him. So it was pretty cute seeing him waddle around in his monkey costume while dragging his little monkey around.

3. Chase got some good things while trick or treating. I was off Friday so I took Chase by his grammy's work where he got a Halloween bear, a Halloween book, candy, and a chocolate donut. Then we went by my work and he got a car, a cookie, a banana, lots of candy, and tons of suckers! We had to wash his costume Friday night because it got pretty sticky from all of the suckers.

4. On Halloween night we took Chase to his Grammy and Papa's house, to his Aunt Francie and Uncle Chad's house, and to Grandma and Grandpa's. We were going to take him by his Uncle Brian and Jade's house, but we ran out of time. The original plan was for Kyle and I to go to a costume party after trick or treating, but Kyle still wasn't feeling real well. So, we took Chase to Ruby Tuesday to eat dinner and since we already had a babysitter lined up Kyle and I went to see Paranormal Activity. That is a scary movie!!!! After seeing a movie that scared the crap out of me, we picked our sleeping monkey up and went home and called it a night.

5. We managed to make it through trick or treating without losing Chase's stuffed monkey. We had a close call last weekend though. Chase was in the backseat of the car fussing and I realized he was wanting Monkey, but Monkey was no where to be found. So we had to back track and locate him. Lucky for us, the guy working in the paint department at Lowe's found him. Talk about panicking! I don't know what we would have done if we lost Monkey. I was pretty close to issuing an Amber Alert!

6. Chase has been absolutely hilarious lately! When we turn the TV to Wheel of Fortune, Chase now runs up to the TV and starts yelling out "A! E! O!" It is so cute! He is also becoming VERY affectionate! Giving kisses, hugs, and even giving dogs kisses on the nose.

7. I hope I haven't done something awful....but Chase sits on the floor with me in the morning while I do my make-up. I sit on the floor in our bedroom in front of a long mirror so I can still play with him or he can sit on my lap. I was in the bathroom this morning straightening my hair and I peeked into the bedroom and he was sitting there with the blush and blush brush and stroking his face with the brush. He then started putting make-up on Monkey too. Then he took the eyeliner pen and was trying to stick it in his ear.....not sure where he picked that up.

8. We got our new kitchen table on Sunday. It's a lot bigger but for some reason it feels like we have more room. The wood matches our wood floors perfectly!

9. Kyle starts his basketball games next week. I think he's pretty nervous. I want to take Chase to watch, but I'm afraid he will be trying to run out onto the court to see his Daddy.

10. Biggest Loser comes on tonight. Hopefully crazy eyes Tracey goes home!!
