10 on Tuesday

1. 33 weeks down! Almost go time! :)

2. I am going to be honest. I am tired of being pregnant. I'm tired of being hot, hurting, not sleeping, peeing, still being hot, and just looking enormous. How the heck does the Duggar lady do this 19 times and still want a 20th??

3. When I was laying with Chase last night while putting him to bed, he sat up so he could lift up my shirt and said "I want to see baby." He patted my belly and said "Hi baby!" The baby started kicking like crazy so I put Chase's hand on my belly so he could feel and he just giggled like crazy and said "baby!" It just made my heart melt.

4. Chase had to stay home sick last Friday. We were up all night Thursday night. He had a terrible cough and could not stop crying. All he could do was cry and say "Owww" while grabbing at his throat. When I asked him what hurts he said "Cooper shot me." Cooper is a little boy at school. I couldn't help but laugh. I took him to the doctor and was told it was just a really bad cold. But we are already over it! :)

5. We went bowling Friday night and Chase was so stinkin' cute bowling! He was so excited to throw the ball down the lane and would cheer and clap like crazy when the pins fell over. He eventually decided he wanted to do it with no help, but the balls were only making it about 5 feet down the lane at a very sloooooo pace. Not soon after thathe started not feeling good again (Tylenol wore off :p ) and we had a major meltdown, so we quickly left.

6. I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the living room window while typing this and my head looks so tiny compared to thie huge body. Reminds me of a cartoon character.

7. I had my first carmel apple for the year over the weekend and it was so good! I got one for me and one for Kyle. I really want to eat Kyle's now. It has been sitting in the fridge for 2 days now...eat it already! It's killing me!

8. Chase loves to "shoot" things with his toy gun, including people. We are working on not "shooting" people. When I got go daycare yesterday, Chase's friend Wyatt had a toy gun and he was pointing it at me and saying "pow pow!" Chase got so mad! He got in Wyatt's face, pointed his finger and said sternly "No Wy-Wy! No shoot MY mommy!" My little boy is already sticking up for his momma!

9. The new cast of Dancing with the Stars looks really good this year. Jennifer Gray from Dirty Dancijg doesn't even look like the same person and I cannot believe she is 50 year olds. It's crazy how different she looks with a nose job. I'm excited that Audrina from The Hills is going to be on there.

10. Ok, I wish people at work would realize that just running water over your hands for two seconds, or just turning the water on and then turning it off, does not count as washing your hands. Water, soap and scrub people! YUCK.

10 on Tuesday

1. 32 weeks down! The end is nearing....

2. I went in late last Wednesday for a regular prenatal appointment, only to get sent to the hospital within the first thirty seconds of seeing my doctor. I had to have a non-stress test done and had to have a CT scan. Dr. Womack thought I could possibly have a pulmonary embollism (spelling?) which is a blood clot that has traveled to the lungs. Thankfully it came back negative. After doing some research on it, it's a pretty dangerous thing. It could result in death of the mother, which ultimately could result in death for the baby. So after two trips to labor and delivery, we are taking each week one at a time. This pregnancy is much different than my first, which has only solidified my decision to make this our last one. As Dr. Womack said, just count our blessings to have two healthy children. This child however will either be a very ornary little boy or a dramatic diva!

3. Chase thinks he is "strong" now and has "strong bones." He will walk up to us, hold his arms like he is showing his muscles and say "I'm stwong! I have stowng bones!" It is too cute!

4. The past couple of weeks have been full of many of our first two year old fits. That Chase is one strong willed little boy! But he also has a very hard headed mommy. I'm trying my hardest to ignore the tantrums over nothing, but when he starts crying so hard he can hardly breath it just breaks my heart. The fits are usually over 1) having to come inside 2) having to take a bath when he would rather go outside 3) having to sit in the kitchen to eat his dinner instead of in front of the tv. Being two is rough stuff!

5. Chase has a new backseat buddy. We strapped a cabbage patch doll into the baby car seat so he can ride around with us. This will get Chase used to the idea of having "baby" around and sharing the backseat with "baby." He was trying to feed baby fruit loops last night and he couldn't understand why baby couldn't hold the cereal in his hands. Too cute!

6. The baby dropped over the weekend. It puts less pressure on my lungs, but it also makes me have a hearty appetite. I've actually lost two pounds this past week even though I've had an endless appetite. But the heartburn/indegestion has also kicked in. I forgot how miserable that was with Chase. I just lay in bed at night so uncomfortable and just want to sleep.

7. We went to Cracker Barrel the other night for dinner and we were playing the little peg game that they have on the tables and Chase was having a blast. He was laughing and squealing and I looked over and this old woman was basically breaking her neck to give us a dirty look. Did I feel bad that my happy child was too loud for her taste? No. All that did was encourage me to keep him laughing LOUDLY. When I pointed the couple out to Kyle he noticed that the husband is one of the owners of Emery Sapp & Sons. Well pardon me you filthy rich folks. If you wanted peace and quiet, maybe you should have called ahead and reserved the whole place to yourselves. Yes, I sound a little bitter. But don't be annoyed by a happy child. There are far bigger problems in life. They are only little for so long, so enjoy the laughter.

8. My niece Mateesa us turning 9 and we are having her birthday party at the bowling alley Friday night. I think Chase will have a blast. He tried bowling at home with his blocks and balls....it's quite the sight.

9. We were driving home tonight and the fire truck in Harrisburg was starting to pull out onto the road with it's lights on and Kyle just keeps going. I said "Kyle!" He says "What?! What am I supposed to do?" Me: "Umm...stop!" No comment.

10. I am seriously wanting some twizzlers right now.....a LOT of them! And I need them now!!

10 on Tuesday

1. Thank goodness for cooler weather! It was 79 degrees on my way home today and I was loving it!

2. Less than 9 weeks until this baby is officially due! I'm hoping it goes by fast. I'm starting to get pretty grouchy and uncomfortable.

3. Today was my first day wearing maternity underwear and I hated every second of it. I tried them because my regular underwear kept rolling down and I was afraid of them falling off. But these weren't much better, they kept falling down in the butt like I had a full diaper. I'm having the same problem with my maternity pants. If I could just take some of that bump in the front and add a little to the back to balance things out.

4. Kyle's working a job in Columbia right now. I can't remember the last time he worked in town! Perfect timing though since D-day will be here before we know it.

5. I'm ready for all the stores to put away the back to school stuff so they can put out the Halloween stuff. I love Halloween and can't wait to get the kids Halloween outfits. Yikes...KIDS. Baby won't be able to wear an actual costume, but Chase is old enough now to pick out his own costume and I'm pretty excited.

6. Work is insane right now. That's all I can really say without getting stressed out thinking about it. I don't know what the deal is, but it's crazy. The good part about it is that the days go by so fast. The sucky part is that I barely have time to breath. Today I wanted to take my phone and chuck it at the stupid bird that keeps running into the window. I'm going to start keeping track of how many times in one day that bird runs into the window.

7. Chase has been cracking us up lately. He is hilarious! First, he called the baby "Baby Snoopdog". Second, he keeps telling everybody that Daddy rolled his eyes at Mommy. And then tonight I said something to Kyle and he rolled his eyes and I said "Do not roll your eyes at me Kyle." Chase turns and looks at him and says "No roll eyes at Mommmy Kyle!" We about lost it.

8. The weather finally started to cool down on Sunday and we definitely took advantage of it. We spent most of the day outside playing. We rode the ranger around for what seemed like hours. That's the beauty of living in the country. We took it on all the gravel backroads and got to see lots of deer and tractors, which Chase loved. Riley rode in the back for a while because Chase insisted that she go too but she was terrified every second of the ride. Tail tucked the entire time.

9. I am off tomorrow and spending the day with Chase. Can't wait!

10. Total random though..how the heck do men manage to pee all over the floor around the toilet?!

Wordless Wednesday

I took these pictures with my cell phone, so the walls are not really this color. They are more of a yellow/green.

10 on Tuesday

1. Holy heat batman!!! I'm done. Done. Can't take it anymore.

2. 30 weeks down, 10 more to go! Well, probably not 10 according to Dr. Womack...I'm thinking maybe 8 or 8 1/2!

3. The baby's room is finished! YEAH! We busted our tails this weekend. Kyle spent the whole day painting on Saturday while Chase and I went to the mall to entertain ourselves. He was so good, considering we had a quivering chin and a frowny face in the car because we wanted to help Daddy paint. But after two trips down Scott Boulevard to see the tractors, dirt, and rocks he was smiling again. Then we hit up the candy machines in the mall. Those are always a big hit!

4. Our new laptop should be here any day and I cannot wait!! We of course got a 3 year accidental plan on it in case Chase's little hands seem to find their way to the laptop.

5. Our boy and girl outfits came in the mail on Saturday and they are so cute and tiny. Hard to believe that Chase was that little once.

6. I have to get my plates renewed and looking on the DMV website today I learned that I don't have to have an inspecion. Woohoo! Effective 1/1/10, cars that are less than 5 years old don't have to have a safety inspecion. That's $12 and two hours saved! But, because my car is an odd number and it's an even number year, I can only renew for one year. Who makes these rules anyhow?

7. Work is out of control right now. Way too busy. I'm ready for a break. A loooong break!!

8. We are putting the baby's car seat in the car this week so Chase can get used to it. I was reading that you should put the seat in and then put a baby doll in the seat so the other child gets used to "sharing" the seat. I'm all up for trying this, anything that will ease the transition of a new baby for Chase.

9. I did something last night that I SWORE I would never do. Ok, so actually it was the second time within the last couple of weeks. But I let Chase eat his dinner in the living room while watching TV. I know, terrible. But when a two year old is having a major bipolar moment, I'll do whatever works at the time. And it worked. So we were all happy.

10. Nothing else to say, except for that I'm hot and I already said that. It's the story of my life right now.

10 on Tuesday

1. It is H-O-T!!! This is soooo miserable!

2. 29 weeks down!! Home stretch now! I go to the doctor today to get checked out, can't wait!

3. So, I jinxed myself last week by saying that I never want to have to spend another night in the triage EVER again. Guess where I ended up Wednesday night? Boone Hospital! The doctor's office sent me over to Labor & Delivery, and when I got there they said they were going to set me up in a Triage room. I almost vomited I was so upset. But boy have those rooms changed! It was like a post partum room, it was so nice. I had my own private room with my own bathroom and shower, internet access, window view, plasma TV on the wall so I could watch America's Got Talent, a rocker/recliner and a big couch that folds out into a bed. I was shocked at how nice the new Labor & Delivery floor is at Boone. 50 million times better than where Kyle and I got stuck with Chase. Back then the triage was nothing more than basically a cubicle with a curtain around it and it was so hot, tiny, and miserable. And everybody in triage had to share the same bathroom, and Kyle slept in a chair. We had a tiny scare there for a little while, but baby is fine. They thought the baby had pooped, which meant they were going to have to go ahead and deliver the baby. And I was having lots of contractions at work. I swear, my babies like to give me heart attacks. This one likes to pretend it pooped, Chase liked to make his heart stop beating. I don't think I could go through that a third time.

4. Midwest Audio hooked up my 4Runner and I love it! Now Chase doesn't cover his eyes in the morning on the way to school saying "Sun hewt me!" The factory tint was just not enough.

5. Chase has turned into quite a little shopper. He went to Michael's with my mom and I on Saturday and he just walked around that whole store checking out the bins and picking out what he wanted to buy. And he was good about listening when he had to put something back. He ended up getting Toy Story crayons and a Toy Story kaleidoscope.

6. We had our 4D ultrasounds done last week and it was so much fun! We spent 45 minutes watching the baby move around, make faces, stick his/her fingers and toes in their mouth and it was so cool. We even got a DVD of video clips of the baby in action. I will post those as soon as I can. The baby was being stubborn though and was determined to snuggle up with the umbilical cord and placenta, so we never got a full head shot but were able to see the face. It was like looking at pictures of Chase when he was a baby. Spitting image! I am now making my official guess that this baby is a boy! And we still cannot agree 100% on names..... GRRRRRR.

7. We are getting a new laptop and I am so excited. Will be purchasing it either today or tomorrow. Fun, fun!

8. Chase has now decided that he really wants a Bumblebee Pillow Pet, it's all he talks about. So, if he can wait another 10 weeks, then that will be the baby's present to him. I have a feeling he won't be able to wait that long.

9. We have now had two mornings in a row where Chase didn't cling to me when I dropped him off at school. We're making progress!! We have noticed such a huge difference in him lately. His language has exploded even more and he will tell us stories about stuff that happened.

10. Chase cracked us up this last weekend! Kyle went to get Chase some chocolate milk when Chase got up (at 9:00 am by the way!) on Sunday morning and I told him that he would have to wash a sippy cup because they were all dirty. Well, Kyle rolled his eyes at me and I said "Oh please, don't roll your eyes at me." Chase comes running over to me and says in a very serious tone "Daddy roll eyes!" And I said to Chase "did you tell Daddy not to roll his eyes at mommy because it's not nice?" He runs back over to Kyle, gets very serious, and points his finger at Kyle and says "Daddy no roll eyes Mommy!" I thought I was going to die! My lil' man is already sticking up for me! :) The as soon as he saw his Grandma later that day, the first thing he tells her is "Daddy rolls eyes Mommy!"
