10 on Tuesday

1. It is so hard coming back to work after being off for so many days! I'm finding it very hard to be motivated at work.

2. We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! Our house is slowly coming back together, but for that first day after Christmas it looked like Toys R' Us blew up in our house. Toys, toys, and more toys! So the day after Christmas I went shopping for organizers and shelves for Chase's room and play room.

3. The worst part of Christmas is the packaging that the toys come in. Kyle had to use a screwdriver to unscrew screws in some of the packages. Come on, is it really all that serious??

4. Once I get the pictures from Christmas uploaded I will post them. Chase got a 3 Wheel Big Trike that is Lightning McQueen from the Cars Movie, and he also got a John Deere Gator Powerwheel. I think he was in high heaven!

5. This weekend we will have to take down the Christmas lights and the tree, which Chase is no doubt going to be unhappy about. The first thing he does when he gets up in the morning is runs into the living room to make sure the tree lights are plugged in. Sorry bud, we can't leave them up all year round!

6. We drove around on Sunday to house hunt AGAIN. I swear, nothing is good enough for Kyle. Every single house we look at there is SOMETHING he doesn't like about it and refuses to buy it because of that one thing. The ones that he finds nothing wrong with are waaaaaaaay our of our price range. Our goal is to buy a house we will stay in. The next time we move will be the last time we move. So neither one of us want to settle for a "starter" home. We'll find one.....I hope.

7. I got a new phone over the weekend and I love it! The only problem now is that I can't stay off Facebook. Time flies at night now that I have this phone. I MUST STOP!!

8. We're going to Lonnie Ray's for dinner tonight. Hopefully we don't leave our pie on top of the 4Runner again. Last time I went to get my pie out of the refrigerator and couldn't find it. I asked Kyle where he put it and he says "On top of your car, I thought you grabbed it." Um...no, I can't even see up there. So, no pie for me that night! I bet there was one happy critter that night though.

9. My friend from High School, Hannah, had a rough Christmas. Her mom passed away Christmas morning. She lost her battle to cancer. Hannah just had a baby at Thanksgiving, so she is a constant in my thoughts right now. I can't imagine what their family is going through right now.

10. We are one day closer to Spring!! I'm sick of Winter.

10 on Tuesday

1. TGIF!!!!! Yes, it's Tuesda, but today is my FRIDAY!! I'm spending the rest of the week at home with Chase and I cannot wait!

2. Chase is sick :( He got started getting sick while we were in St. Joe over the weekend. He has a terrible cough and a super snotty nose. He sounds like a dog barking. If he's not better by morning, I'm going to take him to the doctor. He seems a lot worse when he wakes up.

3. We survived the trip to St. Joe and nobody killed each other. We were packed into the Suburban and thanks to a Thomas the Train DVD, we made it back with our heads attached.

4. Chase got some cool gifts for Christmas. From Grandma and Granpa green he got a really cool truck, a shirt, and a puffy vest that is camo on one side and hunter orange on the other side. Aunt Sharon and Uncle Mike got him a pair of super cute Lands End jammies. I washed them last night and can't wait to bundle him up in them tonight! Aunt Debbie and Uncle Gary got him a toddler golf club and golf balls. He loves it! He was working on his swing last night. Sometimes he starts to use the golf club as a sword though.....we're working on that. Aunt Sandy got him a set of Matchbox cars, which he loves.

5. Chase was a little turd on Saturday when we arrived in St. Joe. He was just so tired from sitting in the car, and was off his routine. On Sunday though he entertained himself the whole time we were at Aunt Sandy's and didn't ask for his paci or monkey the whole time we were there. I was actually able to sit down and eat my lunch withouth having to get up to chase him. I can't remember the last time that happened!?!?!?

6. I was off last Friday afternoon, so I went to the Candy Factory downtown to get stocking stuffers for Kyle and Chase. They had some really cute candy. They even had chocolate covered twinkies! I couldn't resisit, so I bought one. Haven't eaten it yet though.

7. If you haven't looked at Chase's Snow Angel post yet, check that out below. It's a slideshow of our professional pictures we had done. It's not all of them, just a few. Chase's Grammy put that together and emailed it to me. Super Cute!

8. Chase says "HO HO HO" now and it is so cute! He says it very quietly though, like it's top secret information.

9. Chase did something very dangerous last week, but it was also pretty funny. He cannot stand for the Christmas light to be unplugged. He wants them plugged in. The other morning we were getting ready to leave and I walked into the living room, and he was climbing out from behind the tree as fast as he could and to my suprise the tree lights were one! I didn't turn them on, and neither did Kyle. Chase took the liberty of plugging them in himself. In a stern voice I said "Chase Andrew!" and he went and sat down in the time out spot. I didn't even ask him to go there! That little booger knew he wasn't supposed to do it, but he just couldn't resist. I had to leave the room so he wouldn't see me laugh.

10. We went to the mall last night and let me tell you something. If any of those little girls in that mall were my daughter, I would grab her by the pony tail and drag her out of that mall. Girls, girls, girls. Don't wear that, don't make out with that boy, quit saying that, and get off of his lap!

10 on Tuesday

1. Baby it's cold outside!

2. Christmas is next week!!! I am so excited and I cannot wait! Chase is getting something really cool.....hope he likes it!

3. We took Chase to see Christmas lights Sunday night and he went crazy. He was screaming at the top of his lungs because he was so excited! When we got to the magic tree, we couln't get him out of the car fast enough. When we pass a house with Christmas lights, he says "Pweddy!" (aka: pretty).

4. We went to the mall Saturday night to finish up some Christmas shopping. Chase is officially done, and most of his stuff is wrapped. I just have a couple more people to get stuff for and then I'm done.

5. Wait, I still have to get Kyle's presents.....not done after all!

6. I finally got my Christmas cards mailed out. Except I think one got mailed without an address. That would be Megan's. Oops! I had them stacked together and I was going to put her address on it when I got to work. But I gave them to the mail man (my dad) without thinking about it, and off it went! I'll be seeing that again in a couple of days.

7. I need to get Chase a toy box and a storage shelf with bins before Christmas gets here. If I don't get his toys organized before Christmas, we are going to have a mess!

8. I think it's time to take the changing table out of Chase's room. He has gotten too long for it, and all he wants to do now is either climb it or jump on the table part. Plus, it will make room for his train table.

9. I got a Kohl's gift card from my boss for Christmas, so I think I'm going to head to Kohl's at lunch and see what I can find....

10. I was brave and took Chase to the mall with me on Saturday to do some shopping while Kyle was at his basketball games. All was well until the crowds started to thicken and Chase decided to start throwing handfuls of Cheerios at passerby's. He knew he wasn't supposed to do it, but he just couldn't resist yelling "Mommy!" to get my attention first, and then pelting the cheerios as hard as he could. He thought it was the funniest thing over. All I could hear was crunching under people's feet as they walked by....

Reindeer Cookies

Chase and I made cookies last night for me to bring to work. They turned out really cute. Chase was so cute while I was making them. He would come up to the kitchen counter, grin really big, rub his hands on his chest (sign language for please), and say real sweetly "Peez, Peez" (please).

10 on Tuesday

1. "The weather outside is frightful!"

2. We got our pictures back yesterday and they turned out really good! I will post them once I get them scanned.

3. I am officially done shopping for Chase, except for his stocking stuffers. His two big presents are a train/lego table and a workbench. I can't wait to see his face Christmas morning when he sees all the presents under the tree.

4. My goal this week is to get our Christmas cards mailed. I just hate addressing all of those envelopes.

5. The Biggest Loser finale comes on tonight, so it's early bath tonight for Chase! If I can get him in his jammies before 7, then he can just sit on my lap and watch it with me until 7:30.

6. Chase has his own cell phone now, Kyle gave him his old one. He is obesessed with it. He even wants to take it to bed with him. The bad thing is that it looks just like my cell phone, so he's been getting mad at me when he sees me with my phone.

7. Chase is finally tall enough to be able to climb up onto our couch. So he's been climbing up there everynight and grabbing the blanket and covering himself up. It is so adorable! He looks like a little man.

8. We went to Toys R Us this weekend and it looked like there had been a war in there. They were out of everything we went in there for and the shelves were so bare. I feel so bad for the people that work there. I feel especially bad for the cashier that had to check out the big guy with his bare, hairy belly hanging out over his camo pants. He smelled awful too!

9. So, in the mall there is this kiosk where these people are constantly bugging you to try their lotions. They are super annoying and most everybody gives them dirty looks. Well, this weekend one of the annoying guys was having an issue. Half of his butt was hanging out of his pants. Not joking! We literally saw half of his butt. I tried to take a picture to email to Kyle, but I wasn't able to do it without being too obvious.

10. I get Olive Garden for lunch on Thursday at work and I cannot wait! My mouth started to water just looking at their menu online trying to decide what I wanted.

10 on Tuesday

1. Happy December! Christmas is only 24 days away!! Our house is all decorated for Christmas. We got our tree up and decorated, lights on the house, and snowflakes in the windows.

2. Chase LOVES the christmas lights and the Christmas tree. As soon as he gets out of the car after when we get home, he runs right over to out lighted deer in the yard and talks it's ear offf. He wants to grab the ornaments so bad on the tree, but we are trying to teach him not to touch. He squats down in front of the tree, holds his arms out, and gives the tree a great big hug. I have a basket that lights up in the kitchen that has gingerbread men it it, and he thinks the lights are candles and sings Happy Birthday and tries to blow the lights out. Too cute!

3. We survived Black Friday! We started at Toys R Us by getting in line around 11:20ish (pm) and didn't stop until almost noon the next day. I got some great stuff for Chase and now I can't wait until Christmas morning!

4. What I really can't wait for is Christmas Eve. I'm off that day so Chase and I are going to stay home and make cookies for Santa.

5. I just bought an activity table and classic train set for Chase. The table is a little town with roads on one side, and when you flip it over it's a large building block compatible table so he can build. I think he'll love it! He may be opening presents for days. I have a feeling that once he opens something he likes, he won't care to open anything else.

6. We got our family pictures done on Saturday evening. We go back Thursday night to preview them. Hopefully they turn out okay. I'm wanting to get a big one to put above our mantel. We stuffed Chase full of candy to keep him entertained while getting his picture taken. Everytime he started to fuss or wanted to run away, we gave him a piece of candy. He ended up with a sucker and sitting on a couch watching Toy Story 2. He was in awe. The screen was wall size. It was like going to the movies. They guy taking our pictures was so good with Chase!

7. Chase had his first time out on Sunday. He hit me in the face because I wouldn't let him have my cell phone. My sweet little boy has learned how to hit. :( I'm tore up about it. He also threw a rock at his cousin Brooke Saturday night and it bruised her nose. It was actually pretty funny and I still laugh about it now. Brooke laughs now, but she cried pretty hard at the time. Seeing Brooke cry made Chase cry, and all Kyle and I could do was keep from laughing. We had to get onto Chase, and I think that hurt his feelings even more.

8. Kyle has two games in Slater, MO tonight. I have no idea where that is!

9. I need some good crock pot recipes. So if anybody has any, please share! I am desperate for some easy meal ideas.
