10 on Tuesday

1. We are officially paci free! Chase pretty much gave the paci up on his own. To my surprise, it has been the easiest task ever. I thought that giving up the paci was going to be a knockdown, drag out fight, but it was the complete opposite. He literally just went to bed one day and decided he was done with it. I didn't give it to him and he never asked for it, so we just hid them all and he kind of forgot about them. I am so proud of him!! I think Pillow Pet has replaced paci, but that is ok. I can deal with an overgrown, furry pillow.

2. Chase is doing really good at preschool. I am so proud of how he has done. He has adjusted so well and I can tell he loves it there, even though ever morning he still gives me a guilt trip. They said that as soon as I leave he is perfectly fine. He is just putting on a show for his mommy.

3. I am now 28 weeks along, in the 3rd Trimester now! I can't believe it. I go to the doctor every 2 weeks now. All the stuff for the baby's room is bought, but we have not done a thing with it. I think I have finally picked out a paint color. We are going to go with a really pale yellow.

4. I have been having contractions like crazy. Not painful ones, just super uncomfortable ones. And the restless legs and sleepless nights have also started. This is when pregnancy starts to not be fun.

5. We were going to go to the Fair last Friday night, but at the last minute we decided it was too hot. Thank goodness we didn't go, we wouldn't have been prepared with our bullet proof vests! We were planning on going last night, but thanks to the rain we ended up staying home. Which was fine by me! I stayed indoors while Kyle and Chase played in the rain. I loved sitting at the window watching Chase run around in the rain with no shows on bossing his daddy around.

6. We are having our 3D ultrasound pictures done on Thursday and I can't wait! I'm excited to see what this little guy/girl looks like!

7. I asked Chase the other day what he wanted to be for Halloween and he said "chocolate milk." Hmm....not sure about that.

8. I can't believe I have to pick out two Halloween outfits this year. And it feels so weird to say "the kids" or "my kids."

9. We thought we had found yet another house, in the country, 2 1/2 acres. I wondered why it was so cheap, only $149,000 and it's because there was no basement. Deal breaker for us. So, the hunt is still on.

10. I'm calling the hospital today so we can tour the new Family Birthing Suites. From what I hear, they are pretty stinking nice! We need to be refreshed on where to go, what to do, and what to expect. My goal is to stay far away from the triage. That was the worst night of my life. Peeing in a bowl and then pouring it into a jug that is sitting on ice for what seemed like 100 hours is NOT fun.

10 on Tuesday

1. Rain, rain go away!!!! It is not fun carting around a two year old and an umbrella in the 100 MPH winds and rain while 6 months pregnant. Not fun at all. By the time I got Chase to school and back in the car, I looked like a drowned rat.

2. Chase is getting better at being dropped off at school in the morning. They say he only crys for me and that as soon as I leave, he's fine for rest of the day. Ever since he started school I have noticed a huge difference in him. He's always been into pretend play, but even more so now. It is so funny to watch and listen to him play. He's also even more interested in singing songs and reading books. We just sing all the time now and the list of books to read at bedtime grows every night. He's turning into a little preschooler! The only bad thing about him starting his new school is that he is a CRANK BUTT when we get home!! He is just so tired and wore out, so basically we just pop in a movie every day for him to watch until dinner is ready. Heaven forbid we blink the wrong way on those grouchy days, because he will go balistic on us. I have gotten very good at ignoring him. Kyle, not so much.

3. I have a prenatal appointment today and I can't wait! I love going and hearing the baby's heartbeat.

4. This last Saturday night Kyle and I had a babysitter lined up and planned on going out, but we woke up Saturday morning and decided to just stay home. Which was so nice!

5. I have been having a lot of Braxton hicks contractions. I hate them. They don't really hurt, but are super uncomfortable and take my breathe away. I never had them with Chase, so it must be a second baby thing.

6. I wake up at 4:00 am every single morning now, and not by choice. I wake up, the baby starts moving around like crazy, and then I get super hungry. I just lay there in bed until the alarm goes off at 5:30 being mad because I want to go back to sleep but I never do. I should just start getting up and starting the day.

7. On Sunday morning we had a huge thunderstorm and it woke Chase up. He woke up at 5:00 am yelling for Mommy so I went in and got him and put him in the bed with us. That wasn't good enough. He had to literally be on top of me. The baby started kicking and he asked me "what's that?" I told him "that's the baby kicking." Now he tells everybody "baby hurt me." Lil' stinker!

8. I cleaned the carpets in the baby's room. And then I got so motivated I did the hallway. Then I got a little carried away and did the living room. Next on the agenda is our room and Chase's room. I can't stop!

9. I washed my first two loads of baby stuff last night. I love the smell of Baby Magic laundry detergent!! Chase wanted to help me fold, but his idea of helping was taking his match box car and driving it underneath the clothes so you couldn't see it anymore and then saying "Where'd it go? Where'd it go?" It was pretty amusing.

10. A trip to Lambert's is in the works. I am determined to go there this summer and eat some fried potatoes!

10 on Tuesday

1. 26 weeks down! Almost there!

2. I had to do my Glucose testing yesterday and I sure hope I don't have to do it again, because I threw up the first two ounces of it and didn't tell them because I was afraid they would make me start all over. That is the nastiest stuff ever!

3. I am officially in my last year of the twenty's! Had a pretty good birthday. Went shopping with my mom on Friday in STL and got all of the stuff for the baby's room. Saturday, Chase and Kyle took me out to lunch to Chevy's. Then we went to my parent's for dinner and cake and ice cream, and then Chase got really sick. He got a really high fever out of nowhere and fell fast asleep on my dad's lap. When we got home, he was acting weird and I told Kyle "I think he needs to throw up." Kyle said "No he won't, he's just really tired." Well...Momma know best, because as soon as we tucked him into bed the throwing up began, and so did the tears. I felt so bad for him! I don't mind cleaning up his vomit or getting thrown up on, what I HATE is changing all of the bedding!! That is enough to make a person go crazy. Chase's fever finally broke last night, but know he has a rash all over him from the fever. Poor little guy. That's the bad thing about starting preschool I guess, he's going to catch everything now.

4. Preschool is going good. His first few days of drop off were easy as pie. Friday was a whole different story! I think he knew that Mommy wasn't going to work, so it just really threw him off. He screamed and cried like I have never seen before. Monday was a repeat (once again Mommy wasn't going to work). This morning was a little better. He cried and reached out for me some, but he stopped by the time I reached the door this time. I know that he is in really good hands and they do a lot of fun things and they love him to pieces, but it's just hard on him (and me) being somewhere new with new people.

5. If I'm walking into a bathroom with 15 empty stalls, and the person that filed in behind me has all of those stalls to choose from, then why the heck do they feel the need to pick the stall right next to me?? I hate that! It makes me uncomfortable and I can't fully relax. They just ruin the whole experience for me.

6. So I bombed the baby with belly bombers on Friday and I loved every minute of it. I cannot wait until we get a White Castle here!

7. Kyle got me window tinting for my birthday. I'm having the two front windows tinted to match the back 5 windows. I can't wait! I know my car is still a toddler, but I REALLY want a 2011 4Runner. Have you seen them?? Love them!

8. I was a woman on a mission yesterday. Chase's room is finally done, and the baby's room is coming along. AKA, all of Chase's toys are out of the room. I never realized how many toys he had. Our mission now is to donate a bunch of the toys. Instead of holding onto everything and seeing if the new baby will play with it in a year or two, I'm getting it out of the house. I probably went up and down the stairs 500 times yesterday carting toys downstairs. My legs are hurting me! Why does the nexting instinct kick in when we're huge?

9. I usually don't like Taco Bell. In fact, I usually despise it and refer to it as Toxic Hell. But for some reason I want it now. A nacho cheese beef chalupa. I want that and a pig in a blanket. The other night I wanted minature marshmallows. Not the big ones, they had to be minature.

10. Kyle and I are still not in agreement with baby names. There is a boy name that I really like and he hates it. We'll see who wins this battle...

10 on Tuesday

1. The 4 day weekend was so nice and I have another one this weekend! I'm glad it's a 3 day week, but man my phone is ringing off the hook at work today! I wish my agent's would forget my number sometimes...

2. This weekend is my birthday weekend and I cannot wait. On Friday my mom and I are headed to St. Louis to do some major baby shopping. Hitting up Babies R Us and Potter Barn Kids. Only 3 more months to go! I don't know what I'm more excited about...Pottery Barn Kids or White Castle??

3. We got Chase's room done over the weekend and he loves it! He wants to play in his room now instead of the playroom, which is good since he is about to lose that room. He's sleeping in a twin size bed now and he looks so tiny laying in it. But he needs the room because that boy flips and flops so much in his sleep.

4. We had a great 4th of July. We spend the day at home and then grilled Ribeye steaks at home, went to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream and then watched the fireworks on campus. Chase loved the big fireworks! He acted scared when Kyle lit some at home, but as soon as the firework was done he would be asking for more. I think he is going to be a pyro just like his daddy.

5. I have been on a major salas kick lately. I want one for lunch everyday. Buckingham's 1/2 Pit Salad's are my favorite. I can tell this baby is getting big because the salad actually keeps me full until dinner. But then I have to have ice cream every night!

6. Today is a very big day for us! Chase started at his preschool today. I was a nervous wreck all night and couldn't sleep. I really talked it up this morning hoping it would soften the blow and talked about all of his new friends. We got there he snuggled up to me while I was carrying him, but then the kids started bring cars and trucks over to him and he got right down on the floor and started playing with the kids. When I said "Chase, it's time for Mommy to go to work" he held up a truck and asked me "What's that?" Gave me a kiss and off I went. I called to check on him and they said if you didn't know, you would never guess today was his first day. I am so proud of him! I was all worried he would be scared and sad today, but it looks like he may not want to even leave tonight when I go get him!

7. We are thinking about getting Netflix, that way we can just get movies through our Wii. How easy is that?!

8. I went and saw Eclipse on Monday with Kyle's mom. Loved it! What I loved the most was my monster size Diet Coke. It was the first Diet Coke I've had since I got pregnant. I only drank like a 1/4 of it, but it was oh so good!

9. I don't have another ultrasound until July 29 and it's killing me! I wish I could have one every week. I can feel the baby move, but I just feel so much better when I can see him/her. I was lucky with Chase and got to have a lot of ultrasounds (not so lucky in the end with stitches), I think I had a total of like 8 or 9 ultrasounds with him, instead of the typical 3. I loved it! I used to wish I had an ultrasound machine at home.

10. We went to my parent's house yesterday for my dad's birthday dinner, and while Kyle was scarfing down 3 hotdogs, corn on the cob and some chips and dip my mom commented on how skinny he was. If you can eat like that and lose weight, I hate you. He's not trying to get skinny, work is just kicking his butt! No sympathy weight there!
