Our Boating Adventure
Here are some pictures of our boating adventure with our friends Curt, Kelsey and baby Finn. Chase had a blast and loved driving the boat. He loved crawling around on the sand bar. Chase and Finn are already bonding doing the same things their daddies love to do together.
10 on Tuesday
1. Chase walked last night! Kyle was gone getting the boat and Chase took one step for me. When Kyle got home we tried to get Chase to do it again by using the TV remote as an incentive and he took 3 steps for us! Such a big boy!
2. Chase got his first haircut on Sunday. Bye bye curls. :( His curls are now in a bag in my car. He looks like a little boy now and not a baby. He did such a good job. He didn't cry or fuss at all. He wanted to help more than anything.
3. We got Chase his new crib. It's like a crib mansion now compared to the other one. I was afraid that he would have a hard time adjusting to a new bed, it didn't bother him at all.
4. While in Kansas City getting a new crib we ate at a place called Oklahoma Joe's, a bbq restaurant. It was so good!! I wish we had one here!
5. Today is Sushi day in the cafeteria at work. People are going crazy. I have never tried the stuff and I probably never will. They have it brought in from some sushi restaurant here in town. Yuck.
6. So Jillian picked Ed on the Bachelorette. He seemed more like husband material to me. Maybe it was his tiny green swim trunks that won her heart. Looked like he borrowed her shorts. And his underwear......what's with the tiny bottoms Ed?
7. I am so starving!! I'm thinking Bueno for lunch today.
8. We have discovered Chase's favorit vegetable is tomatoes. Which is really weird because Kyle and I both hate tomatoes. We now pick them off everything and give them to Chase. He goes nuts.
9. Chase is getting good at his sign language. He has masterd "more" and is working really hard on "please." He looks like Tarzan when he does "please." I can't get him to do "thank you", he just yells it instead.

10 on Tuesday
1. WOW, can't believe it is already Tuesday!
2. I stayed home with Chase yesterday, he wasn't feeling the greatest. That little stinker pooped 6 times yesterday. What a little turd! :)
3. We had a great weekend! On Saturday we went out in the boat on the river with Curt, Kelsey, and Finn. Chase LOVED the boat!! Love might actually be an understatment. He went crazy!! He wanted to drive the boat, but all he did was steer it right the whole time. We would have crashed if Chase was our boat captain. He also liked playing in the sand on the sand bar. He kept dipping his goldfish crackers in the sand and then trying to eat them. I had to put a stop to that.
4. On Sunday we took Chase to the St. Louis Zoo. It was a blast!! The penguin house was the coolest thing we saw, literally. It was freezing in the penguin house. Chase thought the penguins were pretty cool. And the monkeys of course!
5. I thought Chase would really like the carousel, but he couldn't get off of it fast enough. He did not like it at all. He loved the train though, he could have ridden that around the zoo all day long.
6. Chase fell asleep in his stroller and when he woke up he had two huge elephants in front of him. I think it might have scared him, he started to cry.
7. We got a letter in the mail yesterday from Nebraska Furniture and Chase's crib has been recalled. They are giving us store credit to buy a new crib if we bring the one we have back to the store. They are actually giving us more store credit than what we originally paid for it. So we are going to head up there one night after work this week to buy a new crib.
8. This coming weekend will be the first weekend in a long time that we don't have something planned. I'm excited about just sitting at home and doing nothing. We've had fun this summer, but we are tuckered out.
9. Lucky Kyle didn't have to work today because of the rain. I'm pretty sure he went back to bed after Chase and I left this morning.
10. We have a baby bunny that has been living under our porch for a while now. Kyle found Riley running around the yard with the bunny in her mouth last night. She got into big trouble! The bunny is still alive, just traumatized now. Riley almost killed the Easter Bunny.

10 on Tuesday
1. The Bachelorette was so good last night! I think she is going to pick Ed. He is so in love with her!
2. I had a GREAT 28th Birthday! Friday I spent the day shopping with my mom and we went and saw The Proposal, which was very funny. After shopping, Kyle and I took Chase to Applebee's for dinner. Chase spent his whole time flirting with every woman around. Then on Saturday Kyle and Chase went shopping. We then went to Red Lobster for dinner and then out with our friends Jason and Allyson for some birthday celebrating. On Sunday, we went to my parent's house for my birthday meal. We had pork steaks, macaroni salad (my mom's recipe) and fried potatoes, all of my favorites! My birthday turned into a weekend long event.
3. Chase got me a box of chocolate covered strawberries from the Candy Factory for my birthday, and Kyle got me a new pair of Nike Shox tennis shoes. I love my new shoes!
4. Float trip is this weekend, but I think Kyle and I are passing on it. Chase was at my parents this last Saturday night, he'll be at his other grandparent's Friday night while we go to Jason and Allyson's shower, and I just can't stand to leave him for a third night. Plus, I'm having my birthday dinner with Kyle's family on Saturday nigh. I requested hot wings!
5. The weather is supposed to be really nice on Sunday, so we are planning on going to the Zoo if it works out. My dad said he will drive us if he isn't putting in new windows on Sunday.
6. My dog Abby died last week. We took her to live on our family farm when I decided to move out of my parents house. My uncle found her laying outside the door to the house. She was about 13 years old. I just hope it was age that took her, and not the heat.
7. Chase is talking in his sleep now. I went to check on him last night before I went to bed, and I stood there for the longest time just laughing. He was just jabbering away in his sleep. Makes me wonder what he dreams about.
8. Going to Tequila's for lunch today!! Love that place.
9. I ordered Chase a little Tykes Cozy Coupe car. It should be here in the next couple of days. He is going to love it!!
10. I had to smack Chase's hand the other night, broke my heart while I was doing it. And you know what he did after I did it? He laughed hysterically at me. So much for tough love.

10 on Tuesday
1. Happy 4th of July!!
2. We had a great 4th. I was off Thursday and Friday which was nice. Saturday we went to Kyle's aunt and uncle's house and enjoyed a chilly day at the pool. Too cold for Chase, but we sure had fun!
3. My dad's birthday was on Sunday and Chase enjoyed some chocolate cake with chocolate icing, pictures to come soon.....
4. Speaking of birthday, my 28th Birthday is on Friday. I'm off Thursday and Friday and I cannot wait!!
5. Work is absolutely insane right now. I need a break from this place...SOON!
6. Chase is so close to walking! When he is walking, he thinks I'm holding onto him but all I'm really doing is touching his fingers. It's all in his head, he's not mentally ready to let go of his mommy yet. Boy are we going to be in trouble when he takes off!
7. We have been wanting to take Chase to the zoo, but every Sunday it ends up being too hot. It needs to be less than 85 degrees or we will all be miserable.
8. My sister-in-law, Francie, and I went to a Body Bump class last week and today is the first day that one part of my body doesn't hurt. That class killed us! I was so sore I almost felt sick. Gym's are scary places, they hurt you there.
9. I'm spending the day on Friday with my mom. We are going to breakfast, then shopping, and then to a movie. I cannot wait!! I haven't been shopping for myself in a looooong time. I did however buy Chase 4 outfits yesterday at Kohl's for only $19! I was proud of myself for finding some good deals.
10. I need to go shopping this weekend for Allyson and Jason's couple shower that is next weekend. Kyle said to get a gift card, but I love to shop!
